Solve equations of form:
In the year 8 section, we looked at several questions of the form (ax+b) 2 = c. We will now focus on similar questions.
Example 1.

As we know (root 10) squared = 10 and (- root 10) squared = 10, 3x+2= root 10 or 3x+2= - root 10. Therefore x = (root 10) - 2 all over 3 or x = ( - root 10) -2 all over 3.
Example 2.

x-1=3 or x-1=-3. Therefore x=4 or x=-2.
